Greetings from the Dark Side

Hey, it’s Alipes. As you can see we’ve been seduced by the Dark Side. Though we have controversial opinions about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, we’re not here to rebel against the Jedi forces. For now, we’re continuing to focus on providing a new kind of agency experience. One that is smart, digital, and scalable. Enter dark mode. It's one of the design tools we’re adopting to provide our users with the optimal experience.

Our dark color scheme makes for a low-light interface and helps reduce the luminance emitted by your screen, effectively limiting the strain on your eyes. Staring at a bright screen all day can cause eye pain, headaches, and blurred vision. Shockingly, we’re trying to avoid bringing tears to your eyes.

Our new theme can also help with legibility if you’re viewing our content in a darker environment. Think about the rage you feel when a fellow airline passenger opens their window as you’re drifting off for a nap. The same principle applies to dark mode. The reduction in bright light, especially at night, means you can stay up late reading our beautiful case studies over and over without sacrificing your comfort.

We’ve also found that dark mode aligns with our personality. Isn’t darkness synonymous with sadness, you ask? Well, yes, in one sense. But, it's also dynamic. Darkness has an energy all its own that builds a sense of anticipation and possibility. It creates a theatrical aesthetic that keeps the user focused on our prized possession: our clients. We work tirelessly to provide them with creative problem-solving and unique digital solutions. Our greatest joy is showcasing their success stories for the world to see. Think of dark mode as our House of Blues, our Coolidge Corner, our Opera House. It puts the work on stage and lets it shine. Please hold your applause for the end.

At Alipes, every decision is made with an exhaustive strategy in mind. There were many objective benefits we considered when switching to the dark palette. It reduces eye strain, cuts down on bright light exposure, and even increases your device’s battery life. However, what we loved most about the switch was found in the intangibles. It puts emphasis on the work. Our clients are the reason we wake up in the morning. They are our inspiration, motivation, and reason to continue evolving. They are the Force that moves the Alipes universe.

Do you have concerns about dark mode, optimizing your digital presence, or questionable Star Wars parallels? Shoot us a line, we’d love to chat.
