  • Digital Strategy Intern

    We're looking for a student or recent graduate to join the Alipes team as a Digital Strategy Intern. Your responsibilities would include mapping, monitoring, and reporting on digital platforms; producing regular analytics reports on client projects; and contributing social media content (blog posts, Facebook posts, etc.). Prior experience with social media is a must, as are strong writing skills and attention to detail. You’ll have the opportunity to work with all members of our team to get hands-on experience creating, producing, and driving a message online. The internship is part-time and paid, and the schedule is flexible.

    You'd be responsible for...

    • Creating social media content for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and beyond
    • Helping to execute a digital social strategy for our clients
    • Producing regular reports on client projects to analyze and monitor project performance
    • Working with our strategy, creative, and technology teams to help implement new websites and projects

    • A personal interest in and previous experience using digital and social media, including blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

  • Office Manager/Office Assistant - Alipes (Boston)

    Alipes is a digital agency helping clients with every aspect of their online efforts – strategy, technology, design, advertising, content development, execution, and measurement. We are looking for a full-time office manager/office assistant to support accounting, operations, and general office administration. You’re a great fit for this role if you love working with people and are highly organized, detail-oriented, polished, professional, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Office Manager Responsibilities

    • Operate as Alipes’ first line of contact: answering the phone, greeting visitors, interacting with vendors
    • Work directly with company CEO and leadership team to schedule and coordinate logistics for both internal and client meetings
    • Maintain and update company intranet with contact and customer information
    • Support office operations by receiving and distributing communications about all-company events, meetings, and other topics
    • Maintain supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating requirements, and stocking items; due diligence on pricing all stock items
    • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting failures, calling for repairs, monitoring equipment operation

    Accounting Responsibilities

    • Sort, scan, circulate, and file with approvals incoming vendor invoices (physical and virtual files)
    • Assist Controller and CFO by maintaining A/P & A/R records in QuickBooks on a weekly basis, and maintaining expense records for proper invoicing of clients
    • Provide first point of contact for all A/P vendors
    • Mailing of all A/P vendor correspondence and payments
    • Client invoicing and payment follow up on a regular basis
    • Assist with onboarding of new employees (including benefits and 401k enrollment)
    • Assist with credit card and bank statements and receipt gathering; support Controller with QuickBooks entry and reconciliation
    • Provide first point of contact for travel agency relationship for accounting and travel reconciliation purposes
    • Monitor email and postal mail for incoming finance paperwork and circulate accordingly
    • Assist in month-end and report creation for the Controller, CFO and senior staff
    • Update and maintain internal documents and records
    • Work on special projects and duties as needed

    Requirements

    • Ability to work effectively with others as well as independently
    • Ability to prioritize workload and take initiative to solve problems and complete tasks
    • 4-6 years prior AR/AP or related experience
    • Knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software, preferably Quickbooks Online
    • Strong MS Excel, MS Word knowledge, and Google Drive (Docs and Sheets)
    • In-office availability from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Mon-Fri
